Hello all, The Draxhall Express moves at a supersonic speed.The new business opportunities we are working on are amazing.The list of new things that will be Draxified are as follows, Starwars package art, The Toronto BlueJays, The Tampa Rays, Spiderman package art,G.I Joe (design and illustrations), Marvel comics and Lucasfilm. This a short list of the work we are doing.

On a different not , the Draxhall crew is headed to Japan in July. Lucasfilm has invited Ken to the Starwars Celebration convention in Japan, Star Wars Celebration Japan is scheduled for July 19 - 21, 2008 at the Makuhari-Messe Convention Center in Chiba, near Tokyo.

So in usual Draxhall style, we are all going. Also , l’ve heard that a certain TV station might be sending someone with us to cover the trip, we will keep you updated on that and all things Draxhall in the up coming weeks.

well here is an update that should get you all up to speed on what we are doing and the lowdown on all things Draxhall.

Draxhall has agreed to a development deal with SilverBirch Studios. We will be creating a game based on a few of Ken Lashley’s creations for the Wii platform as well as the Nintendo DS handheld. The agreement also has the Draxhall crew involved in the creative process , Ken and Fedel will be the creative directors for the game and work closely with the very talented artists over at Silverbirch . We would like to thank Jason and Wojteck for making this happen, we liked what they said and better yet they are just good people.We look forward to the next few years as we develop the Draxhall library into great games….Booyah!!..that’s for you Jason.

We are creating artwork for the Toronto Blue Jays once again. The Blue jays have a long tradition of creating great entertainment value for the thousands of fans in the greater toronto area. Draxhall continues that tradition by adding our flavor to very strong brand. Thanks Deb and Tim for letting us hang with the only MLB team in the country….oh and we will be in spring training this year. fun times ahead.

Marvel is the place to be ….Ken lashley is working on his second book at Marvel in a few years but he feels more at home than he has felt in years. Marvel has entrusted Ken to draw the High octane books we all love….the X-men line will never be the same. The first book will be a Black Panther annual that will be out for Black History month, Reginald Hudlin is doing the writing ( CEO of B.E.T) and Larry Stroman( Artistic legend) and ken Lashley are doing the art. look for it in Feburary.

Hasbro and Draxhall have been working together for years and that work turns up a notch as we deliver package art for a very COSMIC line of toys….you can guess but you are all ‘’Rebel scum'’ if you don’t know. The line is amazing..l just hope we can get some up here….wink wink Brian.

we have been working …having fun and creating artwork. The big news is ken is now drawing a comicbook for Marvel. The project is Black Panther Annual , the book will be out in Febuary . The book is an amazing tale of the future of Wakanda and how they have shaped the world.

We are working with the Bluejays on a very fun project , Hasbro on a VERY crazy project and a concept drawings for a feature film.

Well…we have been back for a while and have not been able to update the Draxhall Blog.

so, lm doing the update…look out.

We had the best trip ever the the sunny con by the Ocean. Now don’t get wrong we did do some business but we made it into a great escape for us. We spent the week at a house we rented and got a ‘Huge’ SUV….it was stupid fun. The con was as always the best part of the week…meeting old faces as well as making new friends. OK …The Sketchbook Allstar crew came by and we had more food than we should have but we talked comics and career’s and how they love their jobs at the Cartoon Network. Those are some talented people and l am proud to call them friends . we met all kinds of people…BET ,you guys are fun and Denys l am a fan …next time you draw me a sketch, haha. Orlando Jones has a new project and he is a funny guy…we talked ..sorry he talked trash but l held my own…sort of. Michael Davis is one serious brother who is making things happen, l’m glad to meet you. Kevin…we will be doing some work together real soon…loved talking to you.
As usual Rosanna and the longed hair buff dude ( along with the smartest blonde at the con) were as always fun but the visit was too short. Good to see you again Mr Wacker, Mr Berganza, Mr Didio and a multitude of other people that would take me 2 weeks to say hello to.

l bought nothing..and if you have ever been to SD you know how hard that is…l will post my pics…fun stuff.

Did you see ken and his daughter on the Spacey’s? Ken and his Daughter were in the best comic shop in Canada, Comic Connection in Hamilton. the talented Natasha Eloi interviewed the duo who presented the Spacey for ‘best animated feature'’.

We are working on some great stuff with a big eared mouse from florida and we are blessed to be working with them on this new amazing project. We are working on some new stuff with Portfolio Entertainment and doing some awesome work with our buisness partner Elliott Animation. The Feature film is in full assualt mode and we are knee deep in that as well….we never sleep, but we are having too much fun to sleep anyways.

Draxhall is moving on up…we have been working hard and doing some amazing things with our new talent and old clients. l’ll keep this update brief because our workload is nuts but look out for a trailer real soon with ken’s dazzeling design work in full effect. The DC book ken is working on is going to be amazing because long time superstar colorist JD Smith is rocking the pages with the best inker Ken has ever seen Mr. Glapion .

Draxhall has signed on to work on a feature film , more details about this amazing project to follow, we would like to thank those companies that gave a small band of brothers and sisters an oppurtunity to blaze trails and work as concept designers on a project that will be a huge success. Coming overseas to work with us makes us feel special.Thanks to all.

the comics pages are leaving at a record pace and are the best work of Ken’s career and that say’s alot when you consider the things he’s touched. Ken’s doing some more crazy things with the Starwars family, l looked over his shoulder and thought ‘’come on, who draws that good'’…truly amazing stuff. We booked our passage to the UK , come by and see us at Celebration UK (starwars in full effect),l don’t think we can have anymore fun. Ken’s print is in full color ,Ken-o-vision is what l call it. it looks nuts, only problem, if you don’t go to England you can’t by it…the artwork is exclusive to the show.

Sidekicks the movie is in Blockbusters and other fine establishments…look for ken in a scene with Daniel Baldwin…yes that Baldwin, check it out. Sparaga we love you

Draxhall has teamed up with Gelaskins to bring a new brand of images to your Mac ipod prouducts. Gelaskins will be making a line of Ken Lashley i-pod skins that will feature Ken’s work as well as the graphic styling of the DHJ crew. the skins will be Superhero themed as well as a urban motif.

on Wednesday Feb.28th Firestorm number 33 hits stores , the artwork of ken’s is in high octane mode with his first and last issue of Firestorm. DC put an offer on the table that Ken just had to do so watch for the ad’s real soon. DC is a fun place to be . Looks like Ken and JD Smith will be doing a book together.Ken has said his work never looked better than it does right now because as he says ‘’ you can always tell when a pro colors your work, it just looks like it should'’.

what a week it was….next week we do it all again.

We are designing a feature film , now some may ask what the title is but it’s so early in the process, but we would like to thank our pal , Super ‘Ros’ for letting us do some crazy artwork on a property that going to be a stellar hit, we are so proud to be apart of this feature. Ken has done some amazing work in his career but this stuff is just flat out an artist dream.

Storyboards abound, we will be working on an animated series that is on Teletoon, and no….it’s not Carl2 ( a show that ken designed) we love this wide varity of work that keeps the comic stuff fresh. Ken has started the next comic title and l have not seen him work so hard. Ken has hired his sculptor to do his first vinyl figure….’Space the imagination station’ will be covering the …..wait we can’t tell you , yet . Natasha Eloi did a half hour special on the vinyl figure industry and it was informative and stylish …but Nat always delivers the best interviews in the biz.

We are blazing trails….having fun and smiling all day long. Draxhall welcomes G . Baiden to the house of ‘D’ , he has been working with us for a while now but he has never been formally introduced…so now Baiden has been introduced.Welcome , brother.
